Hello Everyone,
I’m Maria Thompson-Saeb and I’m located in Southern California. I’m a Senior Program Manager, Governance, Risk, and Compliance working on an Information Security Team. I’m interested in expanding my knowledge and learning more about how agile practices can be applied within an Information Security Team for managing the type of work that is generally performed within an organization. I’m most excited about highlighting how Agile can be used for more than software development to increase effectiveness. I found this organization from the Certified ScrumMaster course I took last week.

Whew! Here goes …
- Who are you?
One of the founders at Larson Texts. I have been a principal in starting many of our capabilities/departments from Technical Art and Typesetting to Software Development and Publishing. - Where are you located?
On the beautiful North Coast of the “mainland” USA – in Erie Pennsylvania. Come visit! You won’t be disappointed. - Why are you here? What are you looking to learn?
My experience goes back to the 80s (before they were popular). Since we grew from a small multi-talented team, we used agile methods without knowing about them or understanding them, or even naming them. Now that we have grown, we would like to retain and recapture that spirit by understanding Agile in detail. I am hoping to learn myself what I don’t know or didn’t know I knew – and also to encourage my colleagues to learn the same. We hope to unlock our potential together. - What are you the most excited about in terms of our growing community?
Unlocking innovation, unblocking management, and interlocking our teams. - And, how did you find us?
We were looking for a consulting group – and a colleague relayed positive experiences with your group. We interviewed with Agile Bob and liked what we heard.
- Who are you?

I’m looking to learn more about agile best practices so I can take what I learn and apply it to the two development teams that I help manage.
4. I’m really curious to see how others implement agile methodologies because from my experience, everyone does things differently!

I have worked as a business architect and product owner in an agile environment for years, and would like to move into a scrum master role.
I am looking forward the most to enhancing my experience working in an agile environment and learn a better mindset to help guide my project teams as a scum master.
We have an awesome scrum master as part of our team, and he recommended taking the course with Agile Bob.
-
Another recommendation to take the CSM class with me! Again, I’m honored. Hopefully I live up to the billing.
