Hi everyone! 👋
I’m Steve Gardner from Atlanta, Georgia. After a 35-year run at my last company, I was recently “voluntold” into a new chapter thanks to a downsizing that came along with an acquisition. Life keeps things interesting, right? 😄
I’ve spent about 25 years in IT, with another 10 years before that in field service. For the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with—and lead—fantastic teams of analysts, developers, Scrum Masters, Stakeholders, and other great folks supporting the ServiceNow platform. Along the way, I’ve realized it’s probably time to really understand the finer points of Agile Scrum… instead of relying on experience, instinct, and a lot of creative improvisation. 😂
I’m looking forward to learning together as a community. Most of my work has centered on building software and capabilities that support field technicians, but I’m excited to broaden my perspective and explore how Agile Scrum can be applied beyond traditional software development.
I found AgileForAll through the Scrum Alliance website, saw Bob—with his legendary white beard full of wisdom and fun—and immediately thought, “Yep, I can relate.” He seems to have a great personality, so here I am, ready to learn, share, and enjoy the journey!
