Reading Egg – This is one of my favorite supplemental reading programs! It helps children become stronger readers and boosts comprehension. I’ve used this with many struggling readers that I’ve tutored over the years and have had excellent results each time.

ReadWorks – ReadWorks is an online resource of reading passages and lesson plans for students of all levels K-12. The company was founded with the goal of improving reading comprehension by bringing the latest in literacy teaching research into the classroom.

Storyline Online – Storyline Online is a digital library of pictures books read aloud by actors. You can search by title, author, and reader. Each book lists a suggested age/grade level and an activity guide which includes reading comprehension questions to ask your child.

StoryJumper – With StoryJumper, any K-12 student can become a Published Author of a hardcover book that is delivered to their home. They’ll have a great time showing their classmates their published book when school is back in session!

myShakespeare – The leading digital edition of Shakespeare’s plays. Because of its self-study aspect and smart phone implementation, it’s particularly useful in an online classroom environment.
