Treat your jump input as a limited emergency resource. Airborne sleds cannot  snowrider  steer, cannot brake, and cannot adjust for unexpected terrain beneath them. Stay firmly planted on the snow to preserve continuous directional authority, deploying jumps strictly for bottomless ravines and low granite boulders.
