Hi Peter,
I have a question regarding the role of Agile Project Manager. what is role and responsibility of the Agile project manager?
In some Job pasting the position it resembles the Scrum Master role. In some other job postings it requires certification.
Thanks,
Maryam

Agile Project Managers are a role that often resemble more of a traditional project manager.
Agile PMs should really embrace more scrummaster responsibilities.
The PMI came out with Agile PMs as a response to the ScrumMasters being certified.
I would see them one in the same in many ways.

Hi Peter, Hope all is well!
I have a question regarding Scrum-Ban.
what is the purpose of combining Scrum and Kan Ban frame works?
Best,
Maryam

There are opportunities to leverage both Scrum and Kanban within an org.
It really depends on the type of flow systems you have in your company.
Kanban works great when we can’t create sprints or cadences.

Completely agree with Peter; Kanban works outside of the “sprint” structure. Let me mention, as an example, how JIRA can be used by teams to combine both methods. Stories can be assigned to a specific sprint or simply set to the backlog (shown at the bottom of the screen). Some organization (teams) allow their more experience developers to select those stories they can work on during a specific sprint, letting them make their own decision depending on the amount of time left on the sprint and the priority of the work to be done. It is from the backlog where usually PMs or POs select stories and assign them to sprints, however.

thank you, this also cleared up some confusion I had around the roles of PM and PO, there are so many new acronyms to learn !!
