I’ve used jira for at least 10 years now, probably more. While it’s better than Excel I do find it a bit onerous to use and a bit too bulky.
As my friend said to me “If Bin Laden was hiding inside jira’s UI they never would have found him!”. I found that more and more time was being taken up in sprint planning and refinement in doing what jira wanted me to do, not what my team and I wanted to do.
